Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy seeks to restore strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and function following injury, surgery, illness, or disease.
Therapy services include:
- Assist with standing, balancing, walking, and safely navigating stairs.
- Work on lower body strength, coordination, and transfers.
- Determine appropriate adaptive equipment for mobility: wheelchair, walker, rollator, hemi-walker, cane.
- E-stim, hydrocollator hot packs, myofascial release, and ultrasound modalities.
Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy aims at restoring communication abilities. An individual treatment program is developed to meet the specific needs of each patient. This program also targets the treatment of swallowing and eating disorders.
Therapy services include:
- Help with swallowing difficulties and choking and determine diet/liquid texture upgrades and downgrades.
- Determine declines in cognition, memory, safety awareness, problem-solving, orientation.
- Assist with slurred speech, word finding, facial droop.
- Vital Stim E-Stim and myofascial release.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy focuses on mastering the essential activities of daily living, returning individuals to their highest potential, and developing skills to help them become self-sufficient. Managing day-to-day activities is a major goal of our Occupational Therapy Program.
Therapy services include:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) - showering, dressing, brushing teeth, grooming.
- Work on fine and gross motor, upper body strength, trunk control, coordination, transfers.
- Provide specialized equipment for self-feeding, splinting, wheelchair adaptions.
- Ultrasound and E-stim modalities.
Short-term Rehabilitation Program (Swing Bed)
CRC also provides comprehensive skilled services to individuals who are discharged from Acute Care settings, post-surgery, stroke, illness, injury, or other medical conditions that leave them physically unable to return to their homes.
